General Overview (from The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce website)
The Educational Choice Expansion Scholarship (EdChoice) Program provides students from designated public schools the opportunity to attend participating private schools. The EdChoice Expansion Program is an income-based program. It provides scholarships to students in grades K–12 based on household income level.
The scholarship amount is $6,166 for grades K–8 and $8,408 for grades 9-12 (for the 2025-26 school year). (The scholarship does not apply to Preschool at this time.)

Are preschool students eligible to receive the scholarship?
Not at this time. The State of Ohio has talked about extending this scholarship to preschool students, but nothing is in the works presently.
How can I apply for this scholarship?
FCS has obtained Chartered Non-Public status with the State of Ohio. See website below for steps to apply.
Has the curriculum at FCS changed due to charter status?
No. We continue to teach the same Biblically integrated curriculum that we have been using.
What does "income-based program" mean when it comes to EdChoice Expansion scholarships?
Scholarship amounts are based on the number of members of your household and your annual adjusted gross income (line 11 of your federal income tax return). Please see 2025-26 School Year Information|Guidance for detailed information.
